A small, refined Long Beach Island hotel and restaurant, The Gables is a meticulously restored Victorian inn combining the charm of a fine 1890s home with contemporary comforts and the finest food and service. Our award-winning restaurant is a destination in itself, at any time, as we serve breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, and after-theatre suppers.

An overnight stay in one of our five romantic guestrooms provides a rare break from everyday stresses andstrains. Complete with period furnishings and fine linens, each has a working fireplace or a free-standing iron stove — and also includes modern amenities like a luxurious marble bathroom, flat screen TV and WIFI. A gourmet breakfast is included.

Located on the ocean side of historic Beach Haven, NJ on LBI, our New Jersey inn makes the perfect base for exploring nearby attractions. Right down the street, the Surflight presents live, legitimate theatre; a sugar sand beach is a block away; tour fishing boats are available for hire; and galleries, antiques shops and bookstores beckon. Farther afield, the Jersey bay shore has invitingly weathered little towns that date back to the seafaring 1600s; New Jersey wineries offer tours and tastings; and local salt marshes and coves attract thousands of migratory birds that delight visitors.
